Curcumin is an active ingredient in the turmeric plant - Curcuma longa, which is also found in small amounts in ginger tubers. Ayurvedic medicine and cuisine use this ingredient very often, especially for its very strong antiallergic, antibiotic, antiseptic and anti-cancer effects. Turmeric is considered to be the strongest anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving plant. Piperine - the main active ingredient of black pepper - Piper nigrum, also has analgesic effects. Black pepper is used in Ayurveda to increase the effectiveness of curcumin, a small amount is enough and the effects of curcumin can be multiplied up to 20 times.
